General features. Contemporary history in nutshell.
The military conflict between Iraq and Kuwait 1990 - 1991 may be seen as a planned operation in order to keep the war going on in Middle East. Many people have wondered this absurd war. Why it was born, what kind of strange procedures were runned during the war and how the war ended...
The refugees from Iraq now settled in Western Europe are at this stage able to give new and authentic information of what happened and why.
The main purpose of the war was apparently to spoil the relations between the Arab OPEC members in order to ruin their common power in the negotiations of the price of oil. The industrialized western countries had lost their prestige because of the common power of the Arab countries in the early seventies. This was not allowed to happen again.
The war began by order by Saddam Hussein , the president of Iraq. According to the Iraqi sources he acted according to an agreement with the secret services of the western industrialized countries. In the book "Unholy Babylon" authors Adel and Alexander write of an enormous amount of weapons transported from western countries to Iraq just before the attack to Kuwait. These transportations were also noted in practice on the lorry route in Jordan from Aqaba harbor.
In case of loosing his position in Iraq USA had guaranteed for Saddam Hussein personal protection in Algeria, report the Iraqi sources.
USA pretends to suspect Iraq to have chemical and biological weapons. Of course Iraq has these weapons. USA themselves supplied these weapons to Iraq 1985-1989 in order to be used in the war against Iran. USA and Iraq were at that stage officially allies. Since then their co-operation has been carefully hided.
The unholy alliance between American and Iraqi governments has hardly been based on friendship. Obviously USA needs Saddam Hussein in the American worldwide fascist politics.
In November 1997 Saddam Hussein turned back American arms controllers from the borders of Iraq. Apparently it is necessary to maintain the face of the original lies. It is quite peculiar that the new quarrel was born just when the UN had made principal plans for cancelling the economic coercions.
This situation was handled peacefully. Iraq was allowed again to sell oil. Anyway the extraordinary dictatorship in Iraq continued. The theatre goes on. In January 1998 new demonstrations against USA were arranged in Iraq. Yet people in Iraq do not want war. Only the dictatory Baath-party tried to rise up faked war hysteria.
Thousands of people have been executed in Iraqi prisons. Even formal trials have not been arranged. An unkown amount of prisoners wait for their execution. They know too much. They know the truth of the Gulf War. For some reason the western so called human right organizations have not been interested in this particular case at all.
In February 1998 USA was together with their western industralized lackeys planning for a new military operation against Iraq.
When deciding of using military power the permanent members of the Council of Security in the United Nations should be unanimous. Yet Russia, France and China resisted. Russia warned USA about the long-term affects of the planned attack.
Dialogue between UN and Iraq led to peaceful resolution. USA respected this decision for a while.
Of course, the game was not over. In June 1998 a new conflict was to be expected before autumn. On June 30th USA made a provocatory missile attack against an Iraqi missile site. Obviously USA wanted to maintain the show of contradictory situation. On the other hand, USA does not want the commercial embargo to be cancelled.
As expected, new arms control problem was born in August 1998.
When acting for the interests of world capitalism USA does not care even of the forms of international legislation.
USA exacerbated a new crisis in November 1998 in order to keep the Persian Gulf oil area unstabile and in order to maintain the image of hostility against Saddam Hussein.
The intelligence agencies of USA or their trained military units have committed political murders all around the world. Saddam Hussein was and is still alive.
The price for all sanctions is paid by Iraqi people, neither by Saddam Hussein nor the fascist Baath-party behind him.
In December 1998 NATO began military operations again. This new attack had no kind of legitimity. As to contents it was based absolutely on nothing. It is touching how leaders of foreign policy of EU-countries believed or pretended to believe the hypocratic explanations of USA.
Yankees themselves manipulated the arms control reports on which this criminal attack was based. This can be seen in Scott Ritter´s statement in Feburary 1999. He was the leader of UNSCOM.
The war seemed to be over at this stage. The president of USA stated that he is going to support opposition groups in Iraq. Very likely. Imperialism´s strategy seems to be provoke civil wars in target countries.
USA has trained military units in order to "support the democratic opposition in Iraq". To be expressed in other words USA has been planning for a new military operation for further controlling of the Gulf oil area.
In the end of 1999 NATO´s air attacks against civil targets continued and they are even accelerated in Iraq. It is difficult to find any kind of rational sense for these aggressions. Of course, mass destruction weapons against civil population must be tested.
To draw public awareness to this continuing war, as well as to show solidarity with the Iraqi people, the third Iraq Sanctions Challenge visited Iraq from Jan. 14 to 21, 2000. The delegation was be led by Ramsey Clark and other prominent leaders and included 100 anti-sanctions activists. There was a visible demonstration in Baghdad.
By a UN resolution manipulated by USA the arms control issue was again brought up in December 1999. This ment that the arbitrary attacks against Iraqi civil targets continued.
According to the US "intelligence sources" in winter 2002 Iraq was building new military bases. This is just a new re-named excuse for continuing the bombings. US has had to find new pretexts. The genious logics according to which Iraq should have proved to have destroyed weapons without ensured existence of these weapons does not work any more.
The large international organization Iraq Action Coalition has started a strong campaign against the sanctions.
In February 2000 Hans von Sponeck, a German career U.N. official in Baghdad spoke out more forcefully against 9-year-old sanctions imposed against Iraq and said the U.N. oil-for-food program he heads was not meeting minimum requirements to ease the impact of the embargoes. Of course, this was the end of his career.
In July 2000 paramilitary troops supported by the Iraqi government attacked offices, members and communist-minded friends of the Worker Communist Party of Iraq in Iraqi Kurdistan. People were arrested and killed.
The Gulf oil rea is a gold mine for arms factories and arms dealers. Saddam Hussein is an excellent arms sales promotor. The world cpitalism needs enemies, either real or imagined. Otherwise developing and producing weapons would not be profitable.
The president of USA made an decision to continue bombings in Iraq in August 2000. The air attacks by US and UK aircrafts on Iraqi civil targets really took place. Civilians got killed. According to the mainstream media the attacks have been an immediate revenge against Iraqi "military acts". Yet the decision on the bombardings was made one month earlier.
In January 2001 the International Action Center group was in Iraq in order to investigate the situation and to help Iraqis. According to Ramsay Clark from Baghdad the genocide carried out by USA and UK continues. A new now discovered problem is the danger caused by the depleted uranium used during the Gulf War.
According to judicial experts in August 2001 the arbitrary bombings violated international laws. Yet the US and the UK do not hesitate to go on.
The Iraqi water supply system was intentionally damaged by attacks of western powers on the other hand and by Saddam Hussein´s regional political blockades on the other hand.
In the end of November 2001 Libya and the League of Arab States warned the west for new military aggressions on Iraq.
The summit of Arab states in Cairo in January 2002 warned the western powers for consequences of possible new military activities on Iraq.
Iraq informed in January 2002 about its readiness to defend Palestinians´ rights. Palestine has principally accepted the offer.
In February 2002 USA threatened Iraq by full war. No rational explanations. Obviously the real reasons can be found in Palestine situation and in Gulf and Caspian oil.
Iraqi people accepted widely rather even Saddam Hussein than the puppet regime appointed by Americans. According to authentic sources Iraqi people know even names of persons who would belong to the planned fascist puppet regime.
This time USA/UK had to operate mainly alone. The "Axis of Evil" -thema is not valid for Russia, Iran, India, China and for many other countries.
In April 2002 Iraq settled oil export boycott for one month for the western powers. At the same time Iraq has recommended also Iran to supply oil to Palestine and to boycott western powers.
In May 2002 the UN made a new resolution on sanctions on Iraq. According to the Iraqi government the new resolution was worse than the former oil-for-food arrangements.
In June 2002 the attack on Iraq was prepared by promoting US-Russia relations. However, in a real conflict situation this new "friendship" may not stand. Russia cannot ignore a large war in its neighbourhood.
Highly informed diplomatic sources have disclosed to "as-Safir" that the United States of America has begun to carry out a plan of security and military operations aimed at Iraq, that American troops have entered areas in northern Iraq, and that major bases have been set up for them inside Jordan. In the beginning of July 2002 dozens of US troops and intelligence services were sent into northern Iraq from Jordan under a plan to overthrow President Saddam Hussein.
Up to 2003 the "civilized" western world had killed at least 8,000,000 people in Iraq.
In July 2002 Iraq blamed the United States for the breakdown in its talks with the United Nations on the return of UN weapons inspectors to Baghdad, accusing it of looking to escalate the issue as part of its plan to topple the regime of Saddam Hussein.
"The US administration is responsible for the lack of progress in Vienna," Baath party official Saad Qassem Hammadi said in reference to the failed talks between Iraqi Foreign Minister Naji Sabri and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
In August 2002 The Britsh goverment´s lawyers found the UK particiaption in the possible attack on Iraq unegal. Yet PM Tony Blair ignored that statement.
Majority of citizens and elected representative organizations both in the US and in the UK resisted the planned attack on Iraq. Additionally, the attack would be against all international legislative princips. Both the US and UK governmental systems have become raw dictatorships. It is no problem for them to ignore laws and democratic methods.
In August 2002 Iraq invited the chief U.N. weapons inspector to Baghdad for talks it said could lead to a return of inspectors after nearly four years. Yet the US plans are ready and obviously the attack will be carried out anyway.
The NATO-allies of USA were critical for further military operations after Afghanistan. Germany has stated clearly that she will not participate the attack. The prime minister of UK wants to join the war. However, internal resistance and the apparent technical military problems may cause an obstacle.
Egypt reaffirmed in August 10th, 2002 its rejection to any possible attack against Iraq. "Arab position on the matter is clear, and Egypt has taken the lead in terms of rejecting any such move".
USA was angry because of loosing allies for the planned attack. This bitterness is reflected in an amusing way in language. We know he states of the "Axis of Evil", but in August 2002 the US called Saudi Arabia the "Kernil of Evil".
Faked "evidences". September 7th, 2002. Seeking to build a case that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was developing weapons of mass destruction, President Bush cited a satellite photograph and a report by the U.N. atomic energy agency as evidence of Iraq's impending rearmament. But in response to a report by NBC News, a senior administration official acknowledged that the U.N. report drew no such conclusion, and a spokesman for the U.N. agency said the photograph had been misinterpreted.
In the "research" to prove Iraq´s readiness to produce or maintain mass destruction weapons is in that general level that it could be applied to concern any country in the world.
In his speech in the UN on September 12th, 2002 the president of USA urged for Iraqi´s unconditional surrending. This method was the same as the "Rambouillet agreeement" in 1999 with Yugoslavia. Unconditional surrending without any logical reasons is impossible for an independent country.
The former leader of the UN arms contols group, Mr. Scott Ritter said that Iraq was no threat against any country. In October 2002 another former chief weapons inspector in Iraq Richard Butler lashed out at United States "double standards", saying even educated Americans were deaf to arguments about the hypocrisy of their stance on nuclear weapons.
On September 16th, 2002 Iraq told the UN it is ready to readmit weapons inspectors. This news did not matter. The US wanted to begin war anyway. The arms control question was nothing but a pretext..
In October 2002 the U.S. disturbed once again intentionally progess in the UN - Iraq negotiations in Vienna.
In October 2002 Iraq reiterated her accoradance with the arms inspections following to the UN terms. At the same time the US and the UK accelerated bombings.
In the end of 2002 USA had concentrated its armed forces and establishes military bases in the neighbourhood of Iraq. In November 2002 the former U.S. ally Saudi Arabia rejected joining US war, even if UN does.
In November 2002 Libya, Algeria and Lebanon threatend to quit the Arab League if the league does not accept a real strict stance against the expectable imperialist aggression.
In November 2002 a new tougher draft on Iraq was adopted unanimously at UN Security Council. However, the real aims of the U.S. is replacing the Iraqi national regime by a pro-western puppet government. It is hard to believe that the U.S. gives up this goal. The arms inspections and assumed Iraqi mass destruction weapons have all the time been nothing but a pretext.
Iraq immediately expressed her hostility against the new resolution. The Iraqi political leaders knew that on the background there is the American imperialism and that the real aims of the US and the UK are to suppress or occupy Iraq.
Baghdad's UN ambassador, Mohammed Aldouri said the six-page response delivered to Secretary General Kofi Annan's office was "unconditional, no questions asked."
The first arms inpectors arrived in Iraq in the end of November 2002. Their work began without problems.
In December 2002 the U.S. and the U.K. accelerated again air attacks on Iraq. Civil victims die every day. These absurd bombings were absolutely against UN resolutions and against the UN Charter.
In December 2002 the White House demanded weapons inspectors abduct Iraqi scientists and to bring them to USA for further hearings. This kind of an unscrupulous act is by no means included in the UN resolutions. The arms inspectors protested and denied that claim immediately.
However, influential US Senators called on the Bush administration to make public intelligence information that Washington claims bolsters its case that Iraq holds or is developing weapons of mass destruction.
December 2002. As we knew in advance, the US did not accept arms controllers´ first report. Iraq should have been able to prove that it does not have something what it obvioulsy does not have.
December 20th, 2002. Chief of the arms inspection team, Hans Blix: "If the UK and the US are convinced and they say they have evidence, well then, one would expect that they would be able to tell us, where is this stuff?"
Afterwards it has been revealed that ending arms inspectors´ work in 1998 was a result of falsified US and UK interpretations of a letter sent by UN Secretary-General to the government of Iraq. US and UK sent their own messages ignoring the UN.
Up to the end of 2002 UN embargo had killed 1.7 million Iraqis (APF, Dec 31st, 2002).
The year 2003 promises Iraqi people still more sufferings. It is paradoxical that on the backgroud there are Iraqi oil riches.
In January 2003 some Iraqi quarters expressed their high respect on the north Korean firm stance against US imperialism. However, one must remember that Iraq is a capitalist dictatorship, the DPRK a developed socialism. Yet the common issue is the aim to maintain national sovereginty..
Arms inspectors´ report was delivered to the UN on January 27th, 2003. It was in fact not in accordance with US wishes, but the US interpretations made it work that way. The report delivered by chief weapons inspector Hans Blix to the United Nations Security Council was clearly crafted to placate the Bush administration and provide a measure of grist to its war mill. Blix was unable to produce a single piece of evidence of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction, but nevertheless indicted Baghdad for failing to comply fully with last November's Security Council resolution.
The manuscript of the "Operation Iraq" worked like it was planned long ago. The UN officials did not have neither ability nor will to prevent the coming madness.
Days after delivering a broadly negative report on Iraq's cooperation with international inspectors, Hans Blix challenged several of the Bush Administration's assertions about Iraqi cheating and the notion that time was running out for disarming Iraq through peaceful means.
On February 5th, 2003 the U.S. brought in daylight "evidences" necessary for the manuscript of the war to begin. The UN Security Council members China, France and Russia did not accept that material. These "evidences" are no doubt manpulated like the conrresponding material when justifying attacks on Yugoslavia and Afghanistan.
U.S. pressure on Germany and on other Europen countries in Munich in February 2003 was not successful. Overwhelming majority of European governments resisted the war.
February 8th, 2003. As embarrassing criticism continues, British Prime Minister Tony Blair's office conceded it copied material from academic papers into a special intelligence dossier on Iraq..
The anti-war front formed in February 2003 by China, France, Germany and Russia did its best to prevent the war.
The "tape" by Osama bin Laden on February 11th, 2003 was nothig but a bad joke even as a product of the CIA. Could anyone take it seriously? That desperate U.S. attempt to connect with each other Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussien failed. Under Germany´s leadership the "terror contact" was dismissed in Europe.
The massive demonstrations all over the world in February-April 2003 gave responsible political decisionmakers serious reason to think carefully about realities of the globe and to re-evaluate the contemporary political situation in the world. Unfortunately, the most important leader in this sense was the president of the U.S. It is quite apparent that Mr. George W. Bush has problems with his mental health.
The original US demands on Iraq were targeted on mass destruction weapons. According to arms inpectors there were no such weapons any more. Then the US wanted in practice all Iraqi missiles to be destroyed. What would have been the next claim?
The US claims on Iraq in 2003 were the same as on Yugoslavia in 1999. Unconditional surrending or war. This way the war was made unavoidable.
In March 2003 U.N. weapons inspectors casted doubts on U.S. assertions about Iraq's weapons programs, saying Baghdad was cooperating with inspections and that some documents presented as evidence were forged.
Pentagon had in advance informed that independent media reporters in Iraq during the possible war will be treated as enemies and they will be killed. Hence only CNN with its selected associates ws to tell about further incidents in Iraq. The first fallen hero also in this war was truth.
The US ultimatum on Iraq on March 16, 2003 ment war. Saddan Hussein rejected the ultimatun right away. The war began on March 19th, 2003.
The war coalition formed by the US, the UK and Australia broke all the international laws and generally accepted procedures. The are no valid judicial excuses for ignoring the UN and the Security Council.
Russia and China demanded to stop the war immediately.
Iraq´s military capability was bigger than US/UK military coalition anticipated or wanted to understand.
The United States may fabricate "finding" of mass destruction weapons in Iraq or "evidence" of Baghdad possessing prohibited weapon programmes.
Media told about an uprising in Basra. There was no uprising. Even Tony Blair admitted that fact.
In the end of March 2003 character of the war changed. Saddam Hussein was not any more the main issue. Iraqi people fought for their independence.
The war coalition has disturbed Al-Jazeera and other Arab news agencie´s activities in many ways.
In addition to other heavy weapons, the US used cluster bombs. This type of a weapon is designed especially to be used against civil targets.
Up to the beginning of April 2003 the western powers had already divided among themselves Iraq´s administration and oil.
In addition to other war crimes against civil people committed by Bush and Blair they used in the war depleted uranium with its long-term affects.
The White House said on April 4th, 2003 it would consider military action in Iraq a success even if US forces failed to find President Saddam Hussein. Hence the US itself admits oil and territorial occupation to be the real goals.
On April 5th 2003 Saddam Hussein met exceptionally Iraqi people in publicity in streets of Baghdad. He spoke also in the TV.
According to the Red Cross, the Red Crescent and the UN civil casualities especially in Baghdad and Basra are horrible. Judicial procedures because of war crimes by Messieurs Bush and Blair are under consideration at several quarters.
All the information from the war area is still very contradictory. Obviously the biggest lies come from the war coalition. Anyway Iraqis´ resistance has been strong.
Australian military experts admitted on April 7th that there obviously are no denied mass destruction weapons in Iraq. That was the last lost "justification" for the attack.
The war coalition deliberately killed Reuters and Al Jazeera editors. Additionally, more than twenty editors have been killed "accidentally".
USA shot and wounded Russian diplomats in Iraq on their way to Syria. A special envoy was sent to Moscow to explain the incident. No warm reception.
The amount and quality of destruction in Baghdad caused by the war coalition can be compared with a nuclear attack.
Web-sites of Arab news agencies have been darkened. This operation makes CNN-led news activities still more incredible.
Collapsing of Saddam Hussein´s regime on April 9th, 2003 means only transferring of the power to a new foreign-based dictatory regime. It does not promise any good for Iraqis. There will be in Iraq a situation like it is Palestine and in Afghanistan.
Occupation of Baghdad is no liberation. Both human sufferings and material losses are enormous. The battles goes on.
After the occupation there is full chaos in Iraq. Arab media slammed the United States for chaos in Iraq, charging Washington has encouraged vengence attacks and looting to ensure a compliant goverment is installed in Baghdad.
Soldiers and leaders of the war coalition are not interested in the destruction and chaos caused by themselves. People die in hospitalis because of lack of medicines, shops and banks are robbered, immeasurable valued antiques are looted abroad etc.
In addition to other lies in the war it has been revealed that the statue of Saddam Hussein in the centre of Baghdad was turned over by US marines, not by Iraqis. The press photo spreaded to media was forged.
On April 15th, 2003 at least 10 people were killed and more than 100 wounded in shooting in Mosul in northern Iraq. Witnesses alleged United States troops had opened fire. The next day four more Iraqis were killed.
April 18th, 2003. Iraqi people´s resistance and anger against theUS grows quickly. "Everybody want to kill Americans" (Knight Ridder Newspapers). "Mosul Riots Continue" (The Independent).
After the main war we face doubts and questions. Why resistance of the Iraqi regular army stopped that suddenly? Why Saddam Hussein disappeared like Osaman Bin Laden? Was this war a fraud like the first Gulf war?
US companies win the huge project to rebuild Iraq. Of course. There is no business like war business.
In April - June 2003 Iraqi people´s resistance aganist occupiers has got strong forms with demonstrations and armed attacks.
Like in Afghanistan, the US plans to maintain up to permanent military bases in post-war Iraq.
The war coalition will afterwards possibly show "evidences" on mass Iraqi destruction weapons. One must not take those stories seriously.
The US would like to replace UN arms inspectors with their own men. Russia opposes that aim. Background of this puzzle is obvious. The US is quite apparently going to place their own mass destruction weapons in Iraq. There are two obvious reasins. First, because of "finding" those weapons gives afterwards "justification" for the invasion. Secondly, there will be a new imperialist threat against Asian countries.
On April 29th and April 30th, 2003 at least 13 people were killed and 70 wounded in the firing commenced twice by the US troops at a crowd of Iraqis in the city of Falluja, 50 km west of Baghdad.
In the turn of April-May 2003 both Shites and Sunni Muslims have sworn for holy war against the occupiers.
In May 2003 the invaders began to divide Iraq into administrational sectors among themselves and serving their own interests. This type of a method has earlier in history been normal in colonial administration arrangements.
In the very beginning of new "democracy" the invaders informed that communists are not allowed to participate any political activities in Iraq. "Democracy", indeed. Additionally, top American and British diplomats leading reconstruction efforts in Iraq told exile leaders in a meeting on May 16th, 2003 that allied officials would remain in charge of Iraq for an indefinite period
We had reason to be suspicious with Saddam Hussein´s "tape for new fight", which was published in the beginning of May 2003. The tape may be a forgery in order to justify war coalition´s further military activities in Iraq.
Returning of the shia leader Muhammed al-Hakim to Iraq in May 2003 may mean increasing of counter-U.S. powers in the country even at the level of the regime machinery.
The explosions in Saudi Arabia in May 2003 are possibly linked to the accelerated fight against imperialism after the occupation of Iraq. The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) condemned the bombings in Saudi Arabia, saying it was most likely the handiwork of the US Central Intelligence Agency. CPP is not the only one with that kind of doubts.
According to UN sources there were 150 000 children suffering because of malnutrition In Iraq. After the occupation in May 2003 the corresponding figure was assumed to be 300 000.
Anarchy and chaos continue in the occupied Iraq exactly like in the occupied Afghanistan.
Several bomb attacks took place after the occupation of Iraq in the Near East and in the Middle East.
In May 2003 the UN, China, Russia, France and Germany insisted the contemporary Iraqi situation to be handled according to the UN charter. The U.S. ignored all legal international political methods and continues its own unscrupulous activities in Iraq. The U.S. may anyway keep the Iraqi oil. Impotence of the U.N. became again clear.
Of course, no sanctions against Iraq, the new US/UK colony exist any more.
In May 2003 the occupiers began systematically to ruin Iraqi governmental structures. At first offices for internal affairs and army were dismantled. This way Iraq regresses back to colonial era - some two hundred years backwards.
Mass graves have been found in Iraq. Yet their background and meaning are not clear. There have been unrests in Iraq for decades.
In June 2003 Libya announced a break in diplomatic relations with Iraq and the closure of its embassy in Baghdad following the US raid on the Palestinian mission in the Iraqi capital.
The US attack on Palestine embassy in Baghdad in the beginning of June 2003 belongs to history´s most unscrupulous violations of international laws and pacts.
On June 10th 2003 Hans Blix said to AFP: Some US officials are 'bastards'.
In June 2003 the U.S. began new military activities in Iraq. Killings continue.
In June 2003 oil began to flow to west, and especially to Israel. Hence, one of the essential goals of the war was reached. However, at the beginning Iraqis blew up one important oil pipeline.
In the end of June 2003 U.S. military commanders ordered a halt to local elections and self-rule in provincial cities and towns across Iraq, choosing instead to install their own handpicked mayors and administrators, many of whom are former Iraqi military leaders.
In July 2003 it has become quite clear that the war is not over. Almost every day occupiers´ soldiers are killed by Iraqi guerrillas´ attacks.
Iraqi resistance grows. The U.S. tries to recruite other countries for "peacekeeping" activities. However, those who obey will come to protect occupation forces and plundering expedition, not peacekeeping.
The occupiers are forced to use day by day more harsh means in their efforts to crush the resistance. Arrestings by nights, often Iraqis are not allowed to be outside in nights etc. The US/UK dictatorship is now worse than Saddam´s regime.
In July 2003 the morale of occupiers´ troops began to worsen essentially. They had got promise for quick return home. The promise did not come true.
July 18th, 2003. A body found in an Oxfordshire wood was that of an expert on Iraqi weapons programs, has added a dark twist to questions about the intelligence Prime Minister Tony Blair used to justify war. The main wittness for Blair´s lies disappeared in very appropriate time...
The chaos in Iraq continues. Iraqi police forces are tiny and powerless. The U.S. intends to "buy security" from a private American security company.
In July 2003 the Iraqi armed resistance progressed further to real guerrilla war. Even according to the U.S. military experts winning the guerillas is almost impossible.
The killing of two sons of Saddam Hussein in July 2003 hardly has any affect on the increasing Iraqi resistance and guerrilla war. Iraqis fight for their independence. Saddam´s family does not have signifigant connection with the ongoing process.
In the end of July 2003 Greece's largest lawyers group accused Blair of 22 illegal attackson Iraqis.
In the beginning of August 2003 its seemed obvious that the U.S. has again made the biggest possible historical mistake. The "controlled occupation" is forming to an uncontrolled war. Iraq is going to be a new Vietnam.
According to the US media in August 3003 the US military casualties from the occupation of Iraq to have been more than twice the number most Americans have been led to believe.
In August 2003 Iraqis exploded the Jordanian embassy in Baghdad. Jordania had supported occupiers´ control over Iraq.
Double blowing up the main oil pipeline between Iraq and Turkey in August 2003 gave an idea of possibilites of anti-imperialist forces to fight against global robbery.
Explosion in the UN headquarters in Baghdad on August 19th, 2003 refers to Iraqi opinions on the "world organization".
Up to turn of August-September 2003 it has become clear that the war will continue for long time. Occupiers´ troops are killed daily by Iraqi guerillas´ strikes. The U.S. and the U.K. seem to have no way out of the situation.
The heavy explosion in Najaf on August 29th, 2003 gave an idea of dangerous chaos in Iraq. It has been caused by George W. Bush and Tony Blair.
In August-September 2003 the U.S. tries to get help from other countries and from the U.N. for operations in Iraq because of the enormous war costs.
A puppet regime was appointed in Iraq in early September 2003. That regime does not have Iraqi people´s support.
In September 2003 the volume of Iraqi fighters against the occupiers reached a level of real guerrilla war.
In September 2003 Hans Blix said in publicity that according to his opinion the "WMDs" had been nothing but a pretext for the attack on Iraq.
In September 2003 The UN tried to work for a new Iraq resolution in contradictory circumstances. At the same time bombs exploded killing two near UN compound in Baghdad. Iraqis showed again what they think about the UN.
In the UN General Assembly the U.S. in September 2003 was left alone with its Iraq problem. USA calls for 15000 American troops more for Iraq.
USA is going to prepare new constitution for Iraq. From where the hell - excuse us the word - one country has got right to make legislation for another country?
In September 2003 it seems quite obvious that Iraq will subjugated under NATO´s control like Afghanistan in summer 2003.
In the turn of September - October 2003 French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin called on the United States to withdraw its troops from Iraq within "months." Germany and Russia joined that claim. They accept any activities in Iraq only by an U.N. resolution.
In October 2003 Iraqi resistance and occupiers´ casualities increased. At the same time internal chaos in Iraq worsened.
In the hopeless siuations in Iraq U.S. troops have made tens of suicides.
In October 2003 the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) demanded in their statement in Malaysia the U.S. to withdraw from Iraq.
In October 2003 an Iraqi shadow cabinet was formed by anti-US groups.
The U.N. made a new resolution on Iraq in October 2003. The lack of a timetable for transferring power to Iraqis, and the absence of any sign that the United States intends to spell out a political role for the UN make that paper in practice meaningless. France, Russia and Germany refused to give any military commitment and further financial contributions to the reconstruction of Iraq.
In the Madrid meeting in October 2003 USA and England intend with UN´s help to make other countries to pay expences for reconstruction of Iraq. Most of the damages of Iraq are made in USA. It will be interesting to see with what kind of dishonest means the U.S. will solve that equation. Closing the Iraqi borders during elections may among other things mean that international election watchdogs are kept out.

Fewer than 1 percent think foreign military involvement is helping to improve security in their country.

He knows too much of U.S. participation in Kurds´ mass murders in eighties and of the character of Iraqi - U.S. military cooperation in the war against Iran. The verdict had also negative impact on the contemporary situation in Iraq. One more reason to continue internal struggle...
December 2006. Saddam Husseins death verdict was confirmed. Well, we knew that result in advance... Up to the execution he was in U.S. custody. Hence he could not say any troublesome truths to Iraqis...
January 2007. The U.S. had at last to admit having lost the Iraqi war. In this situation president George W. Bush made a decision typical to him - he sent more troops to Iraq instead of withdrawing U.S. armed forces as recommended by experts. Most of American people and decisionmakers resisted.

Lies which led to an attack and to WWII:
Proclamation by Adolf Hitler - September 1,1939.
Proclamation by Adolf Hitler, Chancellor of the Reich, to the German Army, September 1,1939.
The Polish State has refused the peaceful settlement of relations which I desired, and has appealed to arms. Germans in Poland are persecuted with bloody terror and driven from their houses. A series of violations of the frontier, intolerable to a great Power, prove that Poland is no longer willing to respect the frontier of the Reich.
In order to put an end to this lunacy, I have no other choice than to meet force with force from now on. The German Army will fight the battle for the honour and the vital rights of reborn Germany with hard
determination. I expect that every soldier, mindful of the great traditions of eternal German soldiery, will ever remain conscious that he is a representative of the National-Socialist Greater Germany. Long live our people and our Reich!
Adolf Hitler
Lies which lead to an attack and possibly to the WWIII:
Proclamation by George W. Bush - March 16, 2003
We concluded that tomorrow is a moment of truth for the world. Many nations have voiced a commitment to peace and security, and now they must demonstrate that commitment to peace and security in the only effective
way: by supporting the immediate and unconditional disarmament of Saddam Hussein ...The dictator of Iraq and his weapons of mass destruction are a threat to the security of free nations. He is a danger to his neighbors. He is a sponsor of terrorism. He is an obstacle to progress in the Middle East.
George W. Bush
